Farm to Schools and Institutions

March 12, 2010

On March 12, School and Institutional Food Administrators can Meet Local Farmers, Food Producers, and distributors at the FamilyFarmed EXPO, the midwest’s largest local food trade show.


While there you can attend workshops geared towards school food purchasers, including  a keynote by Marc Zammit, a pioneer in bringing local food into schools with Bon Apetit Management company and now Compass Group. The day also includes a discussion with many of the midewest’s leading school food service administrators, who will share challenges and successes in purchasing and preparing local food.
