Background includes work with the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service in urban gardening. Employed with the Chicago Department of Environment in the Green Corps Program, a landscape training program that works with community groups on a variety of urban greening initiatives.
Currently employed as a horticulturist with the Chicago Department of Transportation, focus includes installation and maintenance of green roofs, oversight and maintenace of landscapes in the public right-of-way (medians, pocket parks, plazas, traffic circles, and cul-de-sacs).
